war für mich persönlich immer nur der Begriff einer Motorrad Rennstrecke und deswegen war der Besuch natürlich Pflicht. Wenn man ein Rennwochenende im Fernsehen sieht, denkt man es ist immer Scheia Weia auf dieser Insel, aber dem ist überhaupt nicht so, der Hauptort heisst Cowes und ist eine kleine Stadt im Norden mit ca. 4200 Einwohnern.
Die andere grosse Attraktion sind die kleinen Pinguine, welche Abends kurz vor dem eindunkeln immer am selben Küstenabschnitt in ihre Nester zurückkehren. Wir hatten Glück, es ist gerade Brutzeit und deswegen hatte es auch sehr viele Jungtiere.
Zum Schutz der Tiere ist fotografieren während der Pinguin Parade verboten. Die beiden Bilder konnte ich aus dem Fenster des Visitorcenters machen, als sie da vorbei gewatschelt sind.

Happy new year and late greetings for Christmas. Thank you for your text. I tried to phone you on the number with your text message. Could not connect. It was so lovely to hear from you and disappointing I could not talk when I tried to phone. but I know you read these comments!
We have had 12 weeks away from home this year, eleven with the caravan and one in Mt Hotham, Victoria for a week skiing. 2014 we will start the “lap”. but in the reverse direction to your route. Our intention is to leave in April.
I see your advertisement for your caravan and Nissan. i will pass on to my friend in case he is interested in the caravan.
Do you have an estimated date of return to Perth? You say end of Feb. for sale so I guess that’s when you are returning. Reason I ask is we have a trip to USA leaving Feb 11, 2014 back March 12. When we get back, it will be prepare to leave with the caravan and go…… but we would like to see you. If we are not here, we will leave contact details for our son who lives at home with us. Accommodation available for you. Do you have any other contacts in Perth?
